Border Patrol operations move from Chicago to Charlotte.

While the federal government repeatedly claims to be targeting the "worst of the worst," a review of 607 people detained in Chicago raids released by the Trump administration shows only 16 had criminal records. CBS
To arrest these people without criminal records, federal agents have used disproportionate force and risky tactics that a former Chicago police superintendent has called "out of control." WBEZ

Meanwhile, Chicagoans banded together to help immigrants street vendors with "buy out" events and protestors clashed with law enforcement outside Chicago immigration facility with 21 protestors arrested and four officers injured. AP
A DHS source says Chicago could be back in the Federal government's crosshairs again this spring with four times as many agents. WBEZ
As federal immigration raids have begun, North Carolina residents have seen:
- Border Patrol agents breaking a car window and forcing a citizen from his car. AP
- "Normally-thriving" business districts "brought to a standstill." Guardian

In Portland (and Chicago), federalized National Guard troops to leave the state as a result of court battles blocking their deployment. NPR
But federal enforcement and raids in Portland have continued, with 560 immigration-related arrests in October, per US Border Patrol. The Oregonian
In California, a plain clothes ICE agent pointed gun at woman in car for allegedly following and filming him. The woman was not detained and no shots were fired. Guardian
